hdbTHE Housing Board (HDB) on Thursday launched 3,600 new flats across seven locations in one of its bigger sales exercise in 2011. The new flats - located across various towns, including Sengkang, Tampines, Jurong West, Bukit Panjang and Yishun - follows National Development Minister Khaw Boon Wan's pledge to combine launches to give buyers a wider range of home choices. The launch, featuring studio apartments, three-, four-, and five-room flats, was originally planned for June and July. Prices for the flats range from $83,000 for a studio to $421,000 for a five-room flat. The launch brings HDB's new flat supply under its build-to-order (BTO) scheme released in 2011, to about 15,500.
