
citizens bank Police are investigating a second bank robbery on Washington Street in a week after a man allegedly robbed the Citizens Bank at 5 p.m. on Friday.Police were called for a similar incident on May 24 at Rockland Trust Bank in North Braintree Square.In both instances, a white male in his 20s or 30s approached the teller and demanded money with a written note. No weapon was shown in either robbery, and no one was injured. In the first robbery, the man was described as being approximately 5’10”, with a five o’clock shadow and wearing a blue Red Sox jacket and Red Sox hat with glasses.In the second, the suspect was described as 5’9”, skinny, clean-shaven and with acne. He was wearing a bright white t-shirt with an image on the front and a red baseball hat. He had large band-aids on his left forearm and on the right side of his neck.Both suspects wore tape on their fingertips.Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Braintree Police at 781-843-1212.Teen arrested after threatening boy with gun.
Police arrested a 16-year old Braintree teen after he allegedly discharged a gun in the air and then pointed it at a 15-year old Braintree teen who was chatting with the 16-year old’s girlfriend.According to police, officers were called to the woods behind Flaherty School on Saturday to investigate a report of youths drinking. Police found some teens and seized a quantity of alcohol in backpacks.While transporting the teens back to the station to be picked up by their parents, one teen said that while in the woods and speaking with a girl he didn’t know, a boy he knew by name produced a chrome revolver and discharged a round into the air.He then allegedly pointed the revolver at the victim’s face and threatened him. The teen soon placed the revolver into his waistband and the teens parted ways.The police questioned neighbors, who confirmed that they had heard a gunshot.Braintree police, assisted by officers from other towns, searched the woods for the suspect.
The teen, whose name has not been released due to his age, was found in his home near the woods behind Flaherty School.According to police, the teen lives with his grandfather, who owns a number of firearms. Although officers searched for the chrome revolver, they were not sure that the gun was one of the three revolvers found in the house.The 16-year old was taken into custody and charged with illegal possession of a firearm, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, assault with a dangerous weapon, and threats to commit a crime.
