americas got talentrank Olivier: This may very well be one of the strangest things we've ever seen. This guy started out the show by professing his love for Howie Mandel, and then preceded to grasp onto his head for dear life as he struggled to get his torches ready for his balancing act. This seemed like it was just destined to be a nervous wreck, but he actually was pretty good -- and not just as a worthy kick-start to the Piers - Howie feud that happens every season. Ryan Andreas: The first great vocalist of the season! While he sounds a bit like Eli Mattson and Michael Grimm had their DNA combined and transformed into one person, he also had a pretty cool sense of creative artistry to him -- at first, it was hard to even tell he was singing "In the Arms of an Angel." Even better -- he turned it into a rock song.
Landon Swank: Finally, a magic act that did something different! There was still a trick involving someone disappearing, but he found a way to make it happen. He does need to work on his stage presence, and if that ever matches his creativity he could be a beast. The Body Poets: It seems like they took Fighting Gravity's idea and also added some dance moves to the mix.
Brandon Figari: An acrobat who was truly impressive on the silks. Olivia Bellafountaine: A rock burlesque dancer who we can already predict her trajectory on the show -- she'll go through to the next round, get an X during a live show, and then disappear. Vegas Birds: Who thought an act featuring a parrot would actually be good? This was truly one of the most amazing things the show has seen -- a bird who perfectly said all the right things and did more than just mimic. Frank Miles: Quite possibly the craziest juggler we've ever seen -- but on this show, crazy is often good. The man juggled stun guns, made a joke about it, and then actually did the trick to perfection. He was absolutely terrifying to watch, but also absolutely brilliant. Miami All-Stars: As if it wasn't enough for this group to feature one dance team, they featured twelve -- and then they had all of them perform a number of different styles. While it's still to be seen just how much variety there is here, you have to give this group of All-Stars credit for being one of the best dance acts we've seen on the show in quite some time.
