coe prices PRICES for certificates of entitlement increased across the board at the end of June's first open bidding at 4pm. Premiums for commercial vehicles and motorcycles saw the largest increase. Commercial vehicles premiums closed at $29,006, 26 per cent higher than the premium at the last bidding on May 18. Meanwhile motorcycle premiums went up by 23.7 per cent to $2,491.
Among car COEs, premiums for Cat A (cars 1,600cc and below and taxis) soared the highest by 13.6 per cent to end at $53,390. Cat B (cars above 1,600cc) closed .
So we to-and-fro a bit until April 2010, when, with prices COE to go further than what was willing to pay, I found myself excluded from the all-new car market. And they have to live with my ageing Hyundai Accent, now almost 6 years olI’m most satisfied with the situation, because it means that I now have even more than willing to pay (for a new car for 15 months) for a car of the second hand of three years, if I decide to work to pay my transport.
