There is nowhere better to be. So where are you headed? Tobermory, Muskoka, Wasaga, Port Dover? Or are you going to hang around and enjoy the city? All throughout the Greater Toronto Area there are so many great events planned. Whatever it is you decide to do, it’s always good to remember how fortunate we are. That was my advice to Billy Ray Cyrus when he was boarding a flight for Oslo the day after I returned. He and other country stars, including Tanya Tucker, are appearing at the Seljord Festival there this weekend. Many wondered if it would be cancelled? The decision was made to move ahead with it and it’s the right one. I spoke with a number of Norwegians who told me they will bleed for awhile but will rise up to partake in the good fight one day soon. It starts with celebrating life and honouring those who had it stolen from them. The image of that lone candle with the island of horror behind it will be imprinted in my brain forever.
