Ajay Devgan is surely happy these days, he has been recently been shooting with newbies and fresh costars. Be it Madhur Bhandarkar’s romantic flick ‘Dil to Bachcha Hai Ji’ or his latest release ‘Singham’ where he was romancing with Kajal Agarwal. Next in the list of his young costars is Sonakshi Sinha – the Rajjo from ‘Dabangg’. Titled ‘Son of Sardar’, this film will feature Ajay Devgan and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles. This movie is reported to be a Telugu musical comedy ‘Maryada Ramanna’. ‘Son of Sardar’ will be directed by Ashwini Dheer and co-produced by Ajay and NR Pachisia.Earlier Kareena Kapoor was approached for the role that has now been offered to Sonakshi Sinha. But due to date clash issue she could not opt for the film and walked out from it. Kareena made a smart move by opting out of the film
as she is tied up with ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ sequel that is going on floors in January 2012 and in February when she is alleged to tie the knot with her beau Saif Ali Khan.Talking of SOS, it has been reported that Ajay wishes to carry on his ‘Singham’ image in this movie also. Though the movie is a comedy film yet there is ample space for some dhishum – dhishum – means action sequences. As the title suggests the film is set at the backdrop of Punjab. So it would be great to see Ajay Devgan and Sonakshi Sinha romancing on screen.
