thisav So today is the day to get down to your polling stations, you’ll not only have the chance to elect local councillors but also vote on what has been a controversial issue over the last few weeks, (and will continue to be controversial in the aftermath of the vote) I am of course talking about the Alternative vote (AV). With a great deal of people in favour of switching to AV and an equally great number of people wanting to stick the current ‘first past the post’ system, it has been the topic for discussion in a large amount of forums in recent weeks.
Whether or not you feel that the country should be using AV or first past the post, the overall result of today’s referendum will undoubtedly provide more topic for debate across the country, so make sure you keep an eye out for today’s results! (Just for those of you that are interested I’ve attached two links below, one that is pro AV and one that is against AV, from which you can make up your own mind!!! Yes to AV – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FstA45lxgFs No to AV -

It’s very exciting to see it all coming together and if you’re going to be here next year then make sure you check it out and listen to the shows as they go out live!
That’ll do me for this week I think, not a massive blog but two b
